ACCD本科申请之Portfolio Video or Audio Essay

Hello，亲爱的小伙伴儿们，告诉大家一个不幸的消息！
      相信很多同学还不知道，ACCD的本科申请从去年开始也跟随潮流的新增了一项要求！——Portfolio Video or Audio Essay！
      时值申请提交旺季，下文给大家整理了一下新增要求的内容，希望对打算申请ACCD本科的同学们有所帮助。

      Required Portfolio Video/Audio Essay作品集视频/音频要求：
      At Art Center, we believe that communicating the motivation and process behind your work can be as important as the final piece itself. So we ask you to share with us the story behind one of your pieces of work in either a video or audio essay format.
      在ACCD，我们认为作品创作的过程和动机与最终成型的艺术作品一样重要。所以我们希望你可以分享一下你作品集当中某一件创作(项目)背后的故事，可以用视频或音频的形式来表达。

      Address the following questions in your essay在你的视频或音频中，请回答以下问题：
      Why did you choose to create this piece?
      为什么你选择创造这个作品？
      How did you approach the making of this piece?
      你是如何制作这个作品的？
      What aspects of this piece satisfied your intentions?
      这个作品的哪部分传达了你设计意图？
      What, if anything, might you change about your piece?
      如果选择去改变这个作品的话，你会选择改变什么？
      Instructions说明：
      Select one piece from your portfolio.
      从你的作品集中选择一个项目。
      Identify the title and date of the piece.
      标明作品的名称和创作日期。
      Make sure to list the title of the piece in Slideroom so that we can reference the correct piece.
      确保在Slideroom里列举所选作品的名称一致，以便我们赏析参照。
      Length of your video or audio essay should not exceed 2 minutes total.
      视频或音频的总长度要在2分钟以内。
      Upload the video or audio essay to Slideroom along with the rest of your portfolio.
      关于提交方式：视频或者音频，在Slideroom里和作品集一起上传。
      NOTE注意：
      It is the content of your submission that we are interested in.Don’t be concerned about production quality. Use the technology and resources that are readily available to you. Feel free to use your phone, for instance, to create your short video.
      我们只对你的上传的内容感兴趣，不要因为太在意而去故意提高拍摄质量，用现有的资源和设备就可以了，例如手机。

      video or audio essay的内容是需要选择作品集中的一个项目/作品，对作品进行针对性的说明，主要考察学生对于项目的表达能力与创作中的动机与想法是否具有吸引力。
      而video or audio essay中需要回答的4个问题，前3个问题主要针对选择的作品描述它的动机/目的、运用方法/手段、最终成品是否满足了一开始的动机等与作品相关的内容；最后1个问题与RISD自主命题的essay有些相似，主要是想了解学生对于作品后续若做修改，希望修改的部份与发展的方向为何。
      其实现在各所学校在独立命题与作品集要求的方向都有很强的共性：极力希望了解学生在创作过程中的思路与想法，以及对项目延伸发展的思考与展现，因此，建议学生在作品集创作过程中，可以加强这两个方向的持续性思考。
      从这些学校每年“花式作妖”的改改改要求可以看出，现在艺术类院校的申请难度更大了，竞争也更加激烈了。
